Rane AC-22 crossover upgrades

I there are at least a couple of folks here running Rane AC-22 crossovers...

I found this on the Klipsch forum, posted by Rane employee ChrisD:

ChrisD from Rane here, happy to add my "two cents", regarding a common topic. I get questions about modifications of this model (AC-22) quite frequently and this venue is a bit limited to fully expound upon all that can be done. Short list of things to do: solder the Ground Lift Switch closed, then run wires from TR / TRS jack grounds to chassis. Remove DC blocking caps (the non-polar electrolytic ones) and replace with jumpers. Add poly or tant caps across main filter caps at inputs to regulators. Bypassing the infrasonic filter is a good enhancement too. Better performing, sonically superior op amps is a subjective point and one we can discuss on the phone. Call me at Rane if you wish to pick my brain more. BTW: 4-90 means 4th quarter of 1990, for manufacture date. Enjoy your finely-crafted, still supported, American made product.

If anyone calls him (number is on their website), let us know.

i use one for my DJ rig actually. Ok 2 one for each of them lol. That crossover is more musical then people would think. I have had other brands over the years but the Rane's has ( stock) outpreformed them. The mods sound good!!
