my name is Neal...and I am a recent audio junkie!!!
I had always wanted to get into having myself an audio system of some sort and frankly knew nothing about it. I found myself getting a divorce after 40 years and to help pay for two households started working at Best Buy. So, I thought, since I know nothing about home entertainment (insert jokes here), I opted to apply for the home theater department. Fortunately for me there is a guy there who really know his stuff and has helped me, but that aside, about two months ago I decided to treat myself, so...
I bought a Denon AVR-791, a PSW110, a pair of TSi100's and a CS10. I had arrived and was in my own form of Nirvana. then I found Club Polk. What a godsend and a curse!!!
So I decided I needed to round out my HT and bought a pair of TSi 300's (accomadations are just too good to not do) Now I am fine, but wait...I like to listen to music as I fall asleep and there was this really really cheap open box item, a Pioneer VSX 520 and also a truly awesome deal on a pair of Klipsch VB-15's. Need I say more? Oh yeah...just one more thing...a Sony SACD player from Zingo...
I know I don't have the greatest gear out there but lord is this fun and as I read the threads I am already looking to where I go next...only regret to date is that I would have purchased the Yamaha 667 instead of the Denon cause it did have a pre out but it is what it is.
So...I guess I should be glad that I didn't find this new love sooner, cause at 59 I have fewer years left to spend countless dollars upgrading and tweeking but what a blast I am going to have with the time I have left.
Thanks Polkies!!!

The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step.
Reserve the "Thank You" for later, after you spend your retirement funds and sell your houshold to pay for the upgrades.
Welcome to the Rabbit Hole.>
