Anybody looking forward to these BluRays?

My Wallet is gonna feel lighter in the next couple of weeks for sure!!!!!

I love Western Movies,I have seen OUATITW several times on DVD along with Outlaw Josey Wales...LOVE THEM both...Both BluRay's have gotten great early reviews which are due to release July 7th.

I have not seen True Grit....so it will be a blind buy for me......to many reviews have said it's a GREAT movie....so im probley gonna blind buy it.

Anybody have any comments on True Grit (2010)???Like/Dislike???...Im hoping it as good as Unforgiven,3:10 to Yuma,All Clint Eastwoods Westerns,Open Range....etc

The last blind buy I made was Inception..I HATED THIS MOVIE.
Don't want to make that mistake again:redface:

I'm blind-buying True Grit. (But since you mentioned it, we totally disagree on Inception. One of the most brilliant movies of our time.)

I wish they'd put a decent Blu-ray of Open Range out, dammit! At least Wal-Mart is putting Quigley Down Under out as an exclusive.

I love westerns & I like True Grit, but only John Wayne's version. It should be illegal to redo any of his movies! There's no way anyone else can measure up to him.
Well what do you know, The theme to True Grit just came on my mp3 player.

I'm not a huge Western fan. However, I rank Once Upon a Time in the West and The Wild Bunch as two of my all-time favorite movies.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I would of put Once Upon a Time in the West in the western themed category, not in the category of westerns. Great movie no matter what category you put it in.

@ S T R Y K K E R - I've seen the 2010 version of True Grit a few times and think it is a fantastic movie. Probably the second best movie I saw in 2010. This will probably cause me to lose a little credibility, but the best movie I saw in 2010 was Inception.

@cfrizz - I don't think Jeff Bridges was trying to measure up to John Wayne & I love what the Farrelly brothers did with the cinematography, dialog, and story in the 2010 version.

@gdpeck- I agree with both of your "best movies" of 2010, great movies! The Coen Bros. did the remake of True Grit, not the Farrelly Brothers though. Big diference in movie styles between the two.

I love a good duster. Fonda was just nasty in OUATITW. Blu ray of it will be outstanding as the original cinematograpy was phenomanal. I'm a fan of any Sergio Leone film and any Clint western.

The Japanese films Seven Samurai (The Magnificant Seven borrowed heavily from it) and Johimbo are two great films in the same vein as well

I would love a Bluray of Open Range!
I also liked the Bluray 3:10 to Yuma.
