Recently, I asked this community if my 90 watt x 5 receiver would successfully power the monitor 70 speakers. Initially, I thought I was going to pull the trigger; however, I've decided not to.

I decided to advance in the Polk line.

Right now I have a jamo 413 system.

Planning on getting...

Polk RTi a3 - fronts
Polk RTi a6 - center
Keep my current surrounds
Keep sub for now

Upgrade plan:

Right now I live in a small apartment 12 x 18 x 9 (living room with Epson 8350 projector)

When I finsh school I plan on moving into a house. Therefore I will move the A3 to the surrounds and buy RTi floorstanders and a better, more powerful reciever.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Just make sure you have room for that RTI A6 center. It is huge.

I love the RTi's but most flatpanel stands will not fit the CSi A6 under the TV. U have to have that figured out first. Mounting this center channel on the wall is not like hanging some HT in a box speaker on a single nail.

I have the the A7 and A9 floorstanders and Im truly pleased.

    You will also be pleased.

If your receiver has preouts, and you like everything else it has, I'd keep it and go with an amplifier when you move into your own place.

No receiver is going to do as good a job as a good separate. I've now realized this first-hand after I wasted time upgrading my own receiver just to find out I needed more power.

I think the RTi line deserves a good amp, especially if they are a step-up from the M70's, which is what I've got.

I don't know if the CSI A6 would over power small bookshelf L&R's. I am just running RTI A7's with a CSI A4 center.
