Did anyone catch Chad Knuas dropping a F-Bomb on live TV last night? NASCAR is mum about it so far....I wonder what the fine/punishment will be?

it's up on youtube if you care to hear it, since I'm not a #48 fan I found it halarious. As the white smoke billows out of the back of the Lowes machine, the guy in the Fox Sports trailer thought, 'let's hear what Chad has to say over the radio', his boss probably smacked him upside the head after that :tongue:

    They won't penalize the great great Hendrick regime.
    Hell they didn't throw a caution at the end because Junior was leading.Any other time the caution would have come out before they hit turn 2. Nascar tried their arses off to give Jr a win and he still choked!

    Hasn't this happened enough in NASCAR, that they'd have the 6 second time delay on?

    Bad news for Johnson tho cause Knauss is the reason he's got 5 championships. If Knauss ever retires, thatll be the end of Johnson's reign.

    don't care for knauss but he's good at what he does and he's made johnson what he is today

    Yeah I think Knauss is every bit as good as the hype. I think the dudes a genius. I mean watch the races, Johnson's car is notably faster than everybody else. Watch the restart, he shoots ahead of everybody. He'll also run most of a race floating around the back 20 then all of a sudden shoot up for a top 3 finish. What, did it take him that long to figure out how to drive? No, Knauss just figured out what the car needed.

    It just makes my stomach hurt that he's getting all this credit and being talked about like hes as good as Petty, Earnhardt or Gordon and he doesnt deserve to be in there at all. If Knauss had got hit by a bus 6 years ago, you wouldnt even know who Johnson was. Remember, he was in the Busch series for something like 3 years and only won 1 race. He gets Knauss and wins one every 5th race??? Yeah, right.

    That's why it was so F'n funny, I thought they had a delay too. It was just patched in while the announcer (Mike LaJoy?) was still prattling on ...... "We apologize for Chad's language" right after the bomb :biggrin: Classic!!

    I dont know why they dont have a delay. They like to pipe in drivers audio every once in a while but because its live, they usually do it over one of the other commentators so you dont have a clue what theyre saying. I wish they would delay it and play it when you can actually hear it and understand what the hell theyre talking about.

    Ditto that. I have no problem with Jr. but since he was leading, the caution was no where to be found. :cool:

    You guys with the caution stuff do not watch the same NASCAR I watch. I am not a Jr fan by any stretch so don't get on me about that. I am a Smoke fan and I am becoming a KB fan more each week. NASCAR tries to let them play out in the last 3-4 laps. If it was 10 to go there would have been a caution but if there is no debris or cars stopped they usually let them run at the very end of the race. Jr in the lead or not.

    I agree. I've seen them let the last lap run its course a few times so that wasn't unusual. All the cars that spun out got down and off the track ling before the leaders got back around and they didnt leave a bunch of debris or liquid on the track. I wouldn't have called a caution either.

    And yeah, I'm a 14 flag waver too even tho there hasn't been that much to cheer for this year.

    They should go back to racing back to the flag on cautions all the time.

    Just curious why F-1 never took off in N America. The US leg hasn't happened since 2007 (though I believe it is scheduled for 2012 at Austin) and there was talk of shutting down the Canadian GP at Montreal. Watched the Montreal race in 2008. Sorry to drag the thread a bit OT.

    I think the biggest turn off to F1 is that there are darn near no Americans in it.Yes you get a scattered few but it's kinda like soccer i think.
    Personally i started watching more Indy car races hoping Danica's firesuit will blow off.:wink:

    That makes sense. Plus like stuwee points out, its tough to follow a sport where 90% of the events happen at odd ball hours.

    I think both you and brgman are spot on. The timing bit is a big thing as is the local talent. A street race in Manhattan would be great, except NYC would have to spend a ton to get the roads in shape. Delicate suspensions on those multi million dollar cars. :smile:
