I've noticed no mention of size of cables, lenght or requierements with in this section.

I guess some may think bah doller store or buck or 2 18 gauge speaker cable is good enough to use.

In fact you maybe right if you're hook-ups of all you're cables are with in a very small radius *cough* i would sugest 3 feet.. lol

My current setup is my 3 fronts are setup with 14 gauge cables all of lenght of exactly 6 feet.

My 4 rears are setup with 12 gauge cable.

My setup is hiss free no humming and clear and LOUD.

No stress on the receiver, heck it barley even heats up.

For easy setup and tear down i have it all setup with banana plugs.

Whats you're setup like?
What size cables you are all using?
Any of ya using coat hagners?
What ya think of my setup?

You cannot calculate wire gauge if the spell checker is not working. Otherwise, the data can be wrong. Garbage in, garbage out. However, your setup is awesome. One of the best.

I use 1.25478 Gauge Monster Spearker Cables and my system rocks. I think you need to find 1/2 gauge cables, eh? Yes, my splell checkr works. Juz fine.

I propose the op to take one of his 3 front cables that are exactly 6 feet each, make one longer by 2 feet and see if he hears a difference.

Fwiw....if you care to read any old threads, we've beaten the cable debate to death from gauge to length, from copper to silver, from analog to digital, hdmi, and any possible inbetweens.

    Welcome to the club, btw.

My system is completely wireless. The gauge is as thick as the room is from ceiling to floor and wall to wall. Even the speakers underneath the floor are connected this way. I love my wireless power cables, makes for a nice clean install.
