If Oprah narrates that one, it's only fitting as the world revolves around her.

BBC is Dave Attenborough or whatever his name is. That's the same one I have. I refused to get Life (and still haven't) until they released the BBC version with Dave narrating.

    Nice find.
The version of Life that I have on Blu Ray is the BBC version, so it's out there.

For those of us without HD-DVD: The region-free BD version is available for 13.87 (UKP) from Amazon.co.uk ... even with currency conversion and shipping to the US, it was < $35 and well worth it...Aliens Anthology with the newer BD transfers on at least one movie is also cheaper when purchased from the UK...
    Current polk speakers:
    Family room 5.1: TC265i R/L, VM10 Center, RC65i surrounds (couldn't match the TCs)
Basement non-dedicated 7.1 HT: SDA-CRS+ R/L, 255c-LS Center, LSiFX surrounds, RC80i in-ceiling rear surround, plus Wharfedale 12" sub (some day I'll get around to building 15" F-20 sub).

nice heads up. plus the version with he british sounding narrator is superior in my book. I, like byfthalone, can't stand listening to Oprah. But either way, that series is absolutely stunning. This series and "Oceans" are must-haves for any nature lovers. Or for anyone who appreciates great cinematography.

David Attenborough is simply amazing! I had (actually still have) his book on dinosaurs when I was a kid.

I actually prefer Attenborough too. Probably because I grew up listening to him narrate PBS nature programs. In fact, the entire time I watched the Life series on Discovery, I kept imagining what it would sound like with Attenborough's voice.
