    Anyone on the fence jump on this. I bought my Touch and Squeeze Radio with a similar coupon and it only lasts a short time before it becomes invalid.

    Thanks for the heads up...Got one... Been on the fence for how i was going to control digital music through my dac. Im not even sure how this works, but for this kinda deal, worth a try... cant help but to break even if it doesnt work out... thank again :)

    So how does this unit work? I read about it watched a video or too but have some questions. Is this a handheld unit or does it have to stay on the shelf. It kinda looks like a docking station or something. if it stays on the shelf do u have to get up and add songs or build playlists or something?

    I am currently using my ps3 with a harmony remote and it works ok. Is this a step up?

    It would basically take the place of your PS3, and it has its own remote. It's not a docking station at all, just a network device that plays internet radio, accesses music off of a PC or home server, or reads directly off an SD memory card or USB stick/drive. If the PS3 is working for you and you're going to keep using it in the same system, then you probably don't need this.

    PS3 does not stream FLAC which is the preferred method for lossless audio. The squeezebox devices do.

    Well technically, if you're using something like TVersity, it'll decode on the server side and simply send the PCM to the PS3. So you can get FLAC and Apple lossless to your PS3 that way. That's what I did before getting a squeezebox.

    But the Squeezebox experience is better b/c you can use your android or iOS devices as remotes to browse / play your music.
