So after all my upgrading I thought I would show you guys what the new setup looks like. It actually gave me an excuse to pull out the good camera and mess with it . That and due to their size the stupid system showcase wont let me upload them, and I dont feel like resizing right now. I will update this once I get NooshinJohns panels I am picking up tonight mounted

Very nice! How do you like that Carver amp powering the LSIs? I'm pretty familiar with Onkyo/Integra AVRs/pres but have only heard a couple of two channel Carver amps so far. Just curious. And a tad 'envious' of those LSIs. I think if I were to upgrade my HT--I'd go with LSIs (or the new series if I could afford it) because then I could unload some of my other gear and get dual duty out of the LSI towers?
I have some LSI-7s which are in my office rig that I like quite a bit.
Enjoy!

Powercords will come, maybe sooner rather than later considering the other upgrades I want are much much more expensive lol...Very nice! How do you like that Carver amp powering the LSIs? The Carver is actually a 5 channel amp. Its rated @ 125x5 @ 8, but its not having any trouble with the 3 LSi's right now so I am not too worried. I know a couple folks running 9's and a LSiC and listening at reference that dont trip the amp so I think I am fine.
Yeah, I got a massive Polkie deal on those LSi's thanks to NooshinJohn for the 15's and Doro for the LSiC .
The 7's wouldnt be bad for fronts paired w/ a good sub. I am debating at some point trying dual 7's as fronts just to see if they are better than the LSiC.
Yeah, I knew the new ones were coming out and would be "better" but the cost/performance ratio was waaayy out of balance for me. So I figured get the older line while its on firesale prices and since those were the ones I was longing after anyway I would be good.
Now just need to get my final amp, a better AVR, surrounds, and my dual SVS PC-12NSD's . But those things are on the 3+ year plan
Right now I am just enjoying the sounds of the LSi's. Going from Monitor 60's to LSi's is a BIG step up in sound. Been loving movies, Halo Reach, and Pandora much much more since I got em"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Nicely done! I guess I shouldn't use the word done, because you're never really done, are you? I'm upgrading my system right now as well, so I feel some of your pain.

The setup looks great EndersShadow. There are some places you should concentrate on next but you're probably already on top of it.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Dear Lord, no toe in?~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Just to make sure which places are you talking about"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Personally, I would put the LSI's out further away from the entertainment center and use some toe in.Testing

IME, time to get the other half involved in the reproduction and the benefits thereof...
You would be surprised....at least I was....good luck! Do it up right with a great Blu-ray movie....~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Great looking setup. You have done some major upgrading. I can't wait to hear how it sounds.

Yup, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. When your here we can pull out the speakers and position there where they are supposed to be
Glad you like your new Paradigm setup. Take some pics and post em. I am interested in how it looks. Especially once you built your custom speaker stands and whatnot"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." When you position the speakers where they sound best, just put some tape on the floor, on the front and side of the speaker, so you will be able to repeat that position anytime you want.Testing

LOL....actually I vacuumed after taking the pics before heading up to Johns to pick up the acoustic panels. The way the pics are taken highlight the marks though lol...
I mighta dusted a bit for ya'll
With a Corgi that tends to shed a lot I never go more than 3 days without vacuuming lolSick setup you have there bro. Loving how it all blends in with the room. What sub are you using? I can see it tucked in well, just can't make it out though.
Its a PSW125 (hence why I didnt take a pic of it ), not something I am proud of .
Just pulled in with a Malibu LOADED to the brim with black acoustic panels. Got one for bass trapping that I have some ideas about .
Next step is to increase the WAF factor by recruiting the wife to pick out whatever covering fabric to cover them with so I can place them where they need to be with no problems Pics will be forthcoming
@Pepster: I know approximately where the LSi's need to go for proper placement. Its about 55" from the center of the entertainment unit. I would mark it with tape, but I am quite OCD about vacuuming so it would get taken up real quick lol.."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Many Many Thanks to John for the Karma below. The panels are ~ 2' x 4' and about 6" deep I think. I have one that is much thicker than the others that I have my eyes set on for behind my sub length wise, or diagonally across the corner the sub is located at.... Any suggestions as to which one I should go with are welcome

Yup, both looking forward and dreading figuring out placement on them. I plan to take some serious measurements and post the results online for some possible help with the placement.
That and I am enlisting the wife's help once I figure out where I *want* to mount them so she can cover them so she's happy in how they look. Compromises may have to be made depending on the importance of the placement of that particular panel"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Very nice setup. Dan
