Alright guys, just booked two nights at two camp grounds, again! We're going to do the same trip again, and perhaps in the fall we'll try for a another river, or section of this one. Here are some terrible photos from last year, but I think I'll be bringing a Pentax WG-1 this year - http://www.pentaximaging.com/digital-camera/Optio_WG-1_GPS_Gray

Jes singling our second night, at a remote campground. Ever dug a hole to **** in?

Second night campground, where's the neighbors???

    Down the river....

The launch. Little did we know, our first day would be the most difficult paddling of our lives. That, and a cold, cold, rain.

I can't wait to get away for three days, no cell phone, no computer, no tv, no anything except a small boat and a river.

The camp sights are tough to get, only 8 available for the second night. If I don't plan ahead, I won't be able to go. I went through hell getting both the camp sights, plus this is the absolute vacation ever, IMO!

Still waiting tony? Less than 24 hours until we depart, everything is about ready! We won't have the boat in the photos above, that was a 14' and we have since gotten a 17' canoe. The extra space is going to be very nice, and I think were packing a little less this year. I'm going to slay the small mouth all weekend, and hopefully catch a few redeye to eat in between.

So how about it? What are your guys plans now that we're a little closer? What about you cnh, got it figured out yet!?!

Yeah, I went with the "last minute" plan. Completely detached my left Achilles about 2 weeks ago. On crutches since. Surgery 9 days ago. Cast, follow up on Wed.

My son is coming up from Boston today but he'll be heading back before Monday, so maybe he'll do something with his sister or hit us with a meal--he's a pretty good cook as well as an Economist? As for me, leg elevated. It'll probably be some kind of Marathon weekend!

I can't complain, because I actually have down time at this point--classes are over. Exams graded. My wife is in China (that's not good). And I don't have to be anywhere so I can relax. But I can't drink anything because of the surgery and healing.

I am envious that you'll be outside.

Have fun! Actually, everything is healing nicely. The cast will be off in 5 days and I'll probably be fitted for an elevated boot and allowed to bear some weight and start P.T.

It's going to be pretty hot here, 90 to 95 degrees. I cooked earlier this week and have a lot of grilled foods already finished and ready to eat. I'm gonna enjoy my AC, drink Vodka and try to live through the weekend. I'm so optimistic.

I stretched my Achilles back in high school. Had it in a cast for a few weeks Stretched with my toes pointing up and then therapy to get it to work right again. A real pain in the foot.

    Hope it heals quickly.

My weekend plans are up in the air. Its my 12th anniversary on Sunday. A nice dinner, maybe a movie or go out to a club. Nothing crazy as we are a bit broke lately.

It was a weekend of hiking and mountain biking. I'm on vacation for the rest of the week and pretty much plan on more of the same.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
