Preparing to connect to existing audio system

I am new to this, but am aware of the basics of wiring. The house we have purchased is 'prewired' with an audio system - total of 11 in ceiling speakers.
The photo I'm going to attach shows you what I've found remaining of the 'control wiring'. To the right it shows the speaker wires, and subwoofer wires, that were cut off and left hanging. To the left is an A-BUS Source Input Unit and a A-BUS 4 zone distribution didtribution hub, while at the bottom is a AT-1.0 Amplified Terminator Unit for IR use.
My problem is I'm making an assumption that the cut off speaker wires will be all that I'll need to connect to the receiver (presently ordered) , once I splice on to them for addl length - and I'm not sure how the dark blue wires that are connected to the hubs are used. The bottom IR unit I'll not need - but I'm not sure what to do with the top two units - and how they relate to connecting the new receiver and getting this system functional.
Any information you can share with me will be appreciated. This is my first home audio project........I'm quite confused as you can see. Thanks
