Just clicked it to come on, it turns the background black, at first its just strange as hell, but then i noticed my eyes arent gettin strained looking at monitor in otherwise dark room, and looking back and forth at keyboard and monitor isnt painful to my old eyes.
check it out next time you start comp. with vista there is just a little round swoosh looking thing at bottom left of screen and it gives you options.

I think by default, if you press ALT+left SHIFT+PRT SCR (print screen) your computer will switch to high-contrast.
It's an option you can enable/disable via Ease of Access which is located in the Accessories folder of your Start Menu.Truck setup

This worked for me. Question though, why does it get rid of Aero in Windows 7? Do I need to go back and change something?Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Ah that.
I have that happening to me on my netbook as well.
It's just an inconvenience, you have to go back to your settings and set it as Aero again. Don't know why it doesn't default to your previous settings.Truck setup
