Sennheiser HD600 + NAD c375bee question

The NAD integrated's headphone section has a 68 ohm impedance while the HD600s are 300 ohms.

2 questions -

1 - Is it correct to assume that the headphone jack impedance being much lower than the headphone impedance is a good thing?

2 - Anyone have any experience using a NAD integrated's headphone jack w/ these more expensive headphones? I have a pair coming in tomorrow - hoping I can avoid having to buy a separate headphone amp.

My sister's been giving me crap for making too much noise w/ the LSi9s in the evenings so I decided to upgrade my HD555s.

    Try it and see-- since you are powering one set--you should be fine.

    No experience with the NAD--but I powered a set of 600's,,then 650's with a Audible Illusions L-1,the I used a little Creek headphone amp too--you should be fine.

    I'm hopeful because my HD555s sound a hell of a lot better w/ the NAD Integrated than they ever did w/ anything else before that (ie. avr). So that's my point of reference.

    plug them in, it will work fine.

    You guys were right I think :) These headphones sound awesome w/ the NAD. I'm listening to the new Cars album and the clarity and bass is just beautiful. They probably need to be broken in ..but this is a great start.

    ...and for the "it didn't happen unless..." crowd....
