Which speaker for my Rotel RA-1060 amplifier?

Hello everyone,
My speakers just bit the dust and I am thinking about getting the Polk TSi500 speakers to match my Rotel RA-1060 amplifier. My living room is 18x20. I don't intend to get a subwoofer and know very little about setting up a complicated system. I do know I love listening to all types of music via cd's and ipod and music that sounds clear and pure. Will these speakers and my amplifier work well together? Are there any other speakers (cheaper) that would work well? Or should I look at another brand that will work better with my amplifier. I welcome all input. Thanks!

First, welcome to Club Polk!

A budget and how loud you listen will help people make suggestions. I have no doubt that integrated will do well with those TSi but since you are music only if possible I would move up to some LSi-7 with a MicroPro 1000 sub. Keep an eye on the Polk Ebay site (see link above and free shipping!) as they come up there frequently. The're on the site now and those two items together are about $900.00. Add a couple of good speaker stands from Audio Advisor and you would have a nice two channel system IMO.

Note a sub like the DSW Pro 400 would be almost $100.00 cheaper and also do a good job. On that Rotel you use the Pre-outs to connect to the sub and set the sub crossover to about 60Hz to start. Then adjust from there to suit your tastes.
