Nice score. From what I understand those are quite a nice little speaker...

Can you say 'back up'! I fully sympathize as I now have 5 pairs of speakers sitting in my Home Office (no--they're not in a surround configuration but 2 channel)...oh and a sub on the floor...along with the Monitor 5s on the floor that are part of the 5 sets above!

Larry likely has some sorta chip in his brain that alerts him to these things before the person even posts them to craigs. It's good to know that if things ever go sour for larry he could at least build a 4000 sq foot home from the wood in his speaker cabinets!

Just what you need alan! It's just as we talked about the last time... get a receiver for the height channels and get them hung up in those gaps above the big dogs in your living room.

Yep, that's one of the options I'm thinking about for them... :-)

Jesus alan, you gonna fill that room top to bottom with SDA's?

You need to just use them as dual centers like that one guy on the forum and use the other SDA's as rears for your setup.....

THAT is a killer HT setup for sure!

All the speaker weight that alan has on the floors of his living room are going to bring his house to the ground! Walking in his basement is sorta like the scene in What's Eating Gilbert Grape where they are inspecting the basement ceiling and watching it start to cave in.

    Larry, Your awsome!!

Willing to do that for other people and didn't even mention gas and time on top of what you paid.

I would hope they offer up to you alot more than the 200. Or like some people, they would give you the 200 and say thanks and ask you to help load them.

Way to go Larry!! Keep them in the Classic Polk family where they can be appreciated.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Since the motto of this forum is "Pictures or it didn't happen", I thought I'd upload a quick picture and give my review of them...

First off, I had a good time meeting Larry. Great guy! We played a few songs to demo my SRS's, and then hooked up the CRS+'s. I was immediately surprised at just how big this smaller SDA model sounds! I wasn't expecting that kind of low end to come from such a "small" set of speakers. With that said, I've yet to meet an SDA I didn't like! (Of course I'm still biased towards the big ones though...)

Thanks again for passing this incredible deal on to me, Larry! The speakers are in fantastic shape, and definitely have a home in my SDA collection. I owe you one!

audio_alan, sorry for the confusion. Having to many speakers is probably a result of some long repressed childhood trauma, so it may be a cry for help.

Nah, I doubt it. I just love music and it's fun to try different speakers and gear. The great thing about buying used gear is that you can try lots of stuff for fairly cheap. I probably have less invested in my SDA's than I would if I bought a single set of new "great" speakers that are in stores today. In fact, I have spent less on all my SDA's than what a single pair of SDA-SRS's cost new back in the day.

Not to mention, having a wall of SDA's really looks cool...
