Two Subs

Hey gang. My mains are TSi400 center is a cs20. I have one PSW10 sub and just picked up a 2nd super cheap so I'm going to run both of them since my receiver has two sub outs.
My basic question is.. what crossover would you recommend? Seems as though the 400's can handle a big amount of bass and I know the psw10 isnt that powerful. Watched a movie last night (Tron: Legacy) and had some wicked distortion in the low end (auto calabrated system) so I lowered the volume. So I am hoping the 2nd sub helps and maybe changing the crossover.
Thanks.

Hello, the PSW10 is more of a mid bass module for augmentation on a computer system or maybe a pair of bookshelves and not "actually" a sub woofer [so to speak]. That said, I would recommend setting it first to go with what your ears tell you but as a starting point? Low on both the volume and the crossover settings. Possibly as low as each will go, gradually increasing the crossover 2X to 3X that of the volume until you find what your ears tell you is right.
Placement of the subs also plays a key roll. Your speakers may benefit more without either sub, to be honest but let your ears decide that. That's all that matters.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Treitz3 is right in that it's more of a midbass for small speakers (think Blackstone TL-1 size). TSi400s are a pretty good speaker and with an amplifier could out-drive a pair of PSW10s. Where you put them is going to be your way to get the most out of them. An idea to help keep distortion a little lower and output up is to try to place them near the seating location, e.g. beside/behind your couch or chair. That way they won't have to play so hard to supply you with bass, since you're 3' away instead of 8'+.
Also, see if your receiver has the ability to have the TSi400s play the LFE content in addition to your subwoofers.
