Can i use a seperate amp and a AVR?
Hey Polkies..Im wondering if i could use my Pioneer SC-25 and my Adcom amp together pushing my Rti10's..Like use the adcom 7500 150W to drive the two 7inch speaker and use the SC-25 speaker terminal to run the highs and mids on my Rti10's..Is that possible? and work?..Hope i explained it correctly..Thanks

You could, but the results may not be that good. Try driving the mains with the amp and use the AVR for center and surrounds.

No, don't do that.
Use the Adcom to run the mains. -
Ok...How about bi-amping the Rti'10s? ,using the Adcom 7500 front speaker terminals for the 2 woofers and then use the back speaker terminals on the Adcom for the Highs and mid..would that be ok? thanksSamsung PN50B550 Plasma

Not worth the effort. Passive Bi-amping isnt worth the time and effort. Take it from someone who has tried it from an AVR, using a Y cable to split the R/L pre-out to 2 diff channels on an amp, and using the bi-amp in the AVR and then running 2 cables per L/R pre-outs to an amp.
The ONLY amp I think it could make a difference on would be something like the Carver Cinema series amps and I cant remember how to explain it properly."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Ok,thanks bro..im just going to leave everything as is..i guess my next upgrade will be a 300W amp...someday..the Adcom 7500 has some "big balls" i guess i should be happy with it..Samsung PN50B550 Plasma

You want big balls - Carver Signature Cinema, 405 wpc or some rare ones at 425 wpc.My 2012 HT Room - http://www.avsforum.com/t/1416077/bsoko2-new-ht-june-2012

Even though I recommend against it, I suggest you try it anyway to learn something if it does not cost an arm and a leg. You're only going to be certain it is right or not is if you at least try.
