Can someone explain in short the differences between Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Mozilla? I currently and always have had Explorer so am use to it. Need to know how easy they are to use, download etc...I am not terribly computer literate so easy is best. I sometimes decide to try stuff with Explorer, get hopelessly lost and then have to get my wife or the guy who sold us the computer to help. So, easy is best:biggrin:

"Ease of Use" is entirely subjective, and not something someone can quantity realistically.

I use Opera, and I find it extremely easy to use, as well as very fast and stable. I've used Firefox in the past (Firefox, btw, is made BY Mozilla. Mozilla is not a browser).

Chrome is most likely the "simplest one" out there right now, in terms of what you need to know to use it. IE9 is actually fairly decent, and to me seems to take a lot of cues from Opera in how it looks and behaves, but there's definitely some Chrome influence there too.

I love chrome, for the most part because it is light runs fast keeps me out of trouble if I go to the wrong site "meaning lets you know if the site is not trusted" firefox does that as well. Chrome was the last browser to get hacked and it took a while for it to become that way. I use to be a firefox user not anymore.

Yeah, I love Firefox but I think Chrome is much simpler for the non-computer literate. Give it a try, if you don't like it you can always go back.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

    It was.

With IE9, I really don't think Chrome has as much of an advantage over IE as it used to.

    www.google.com/chrome

Just download and install. People tend to think web browsers are something special, but they're just programs like any other. Like if you wanted to open up Outlook, or Paint, or iTunes, you could open up Internet Explorer or Chrome. Same idea.

Not really, unless you have Windows 7 then you might want to try IE9, otherwise I would stick to Chrome. I love it. Very simple. For the most part, it will handle any website you throw at it. It is easy to search also, all you do is type what you are searching for in the same bar as you would type an address.
