I`m thinking about upgrading my front M70II to the rt series. I noticed that Polk ebay has 2 possible choice`s. The Rtia5, Rtia7 . I also notice a older model of the rt line. The rti12. My room is about 12x20 so my first thought was the rti12 would be overkill. Then i notice the price on the rti12 is $700. and the rtia7 is $770. I`ve got a DSW micropro 2000 for the bass i`m looking at the best mid range.
If the rt12 is too much, i could back down on it. So that way there is always potential for more in the future.
Anyone out there that has some expertise or a good recommendation please post. Thanks for helping.

When I was looking at Avr's I looked at the Onkyo that you have I think it pushed 135 watts at 8ohms that would power those Rti'7s just fine, I ended up choosing the Denon I have as I heard they were not as bright as the Yamaha or the Onkyo Avr's. I see you have Rti'a3s I think the Rti'a7 or Rti'a5 would be a great choice for your fronts I own the Rti'a5s as my fronts and love them I seriously thought about the 7s but I like how the 5s sounded, I dont know much about specs and things fairly new to HT set ups but I'am happy with my polks.

Thanks for the reply. I'm happy with my subwoofer, thats why i`m looking at the rtia5 for my fronts. On the other hand ,looking ahead will i still be happy or regrete not buying the rtia7. I guess they are both good speakers. Newegg had an open box rtia7. When i went to order i got a message that only 1 is available.. For $660. for the pair i wanted those speakers. bummer that only have 1 for sale.

I bet you would be Happy with the 5's since you have a sub, I've heard that bigger is not always better with tower speakers, and the place that sold me my 5's said he would go with them over the 7's and that the 9's were better, but my AVR would not power them I did listen to the 5's and 7's back and forth for quite a while, with Steely Dan's AJA CD without A Sub and the 5's sounded better to me, at the levels I listen to in a decent sound room. I also listened to some towers called Focus, some Energy's, Klipsch and the 5's impressed me the most.

I'm also keeping my eye on the RTi a7's. I've heard the egg will have a sale on them once in a while for around $350 each. I haven't had a chance to hear either in person, so I can't compare 7's to the 5's. Below is a video someone uploaded on youtube. Listen in 720p, it sounds really good. He's in a pretty small room with them.

The newly designed, RTi A9, is the cosmetically upgraded version of the RTi12. Performance of both the RTi A9 and RTi12 is identical. After said this, for $700. pair is there any reason why i wouldnt buy this over the A7 for about the same cost.?
