Heaven and Hell on Blu Ray

I preordered this when I placed my order for the Moving Pictures BD/CD
Got it last week - listened to it, oddly/coincidentally 2 days after May 16 (the day Ronny passed away last year :frown:)
Picture quality is ok - definitely a bit soft in spots and the lighting causes some color saturations here and there.
Sound can be 5.1 LPCM, DTSHD and DD
I listened to the LPCM - mix is pretty good, clean and definitely 'crankable'
There are some killer tracks from the "Dio years" - "I" and "Vodoo" are headbanger approved!
The groove was tight - my god, Geezer knows how to thwack the bass with some awesome intensity.
It has been a while since I spun the album "Heaven and Hell" on my rig, forgot just how darn good alot of those tracks are - and they played these live with some heart.
Really enjoyed the bonus features - esp the "Road Movie" with the behind the scenes making of the tour and how it was put together, some past history...
Thumbs up!

I listen to Heaven and and Hell a lot, I like it a tad better than the Mob Rules I think that those two albums were some of Sabbaths best. I will have to look for that Blu Ray.Home Theater

I got inspired to play my vinyl version of Heaven and Hell.
Did the MF Enzyme and Pure Water RCM on both sides, and put this in for a reference level "Rapture" session.
Dang...this LP sounds damn good - clean sonics and mix.
And the tracks have aged well, imo, like a good wine. Not what I would call as old school brain melting Sabbath, but rather damn fine musical metal.

Does the MF Enzyme and Pure Water thing really work curious as I can still get the disc washer fluid sent to me in 1/2 liter dispensers sent from in laws in Germany but the shipping is pricey, I still have a couple of zero stats that I use, I keep my vinyl in good shape and listen to albums all the time when in the basement,I lived in Germany for 14 years so I have a lot of vinyl from over there I found the pressings over there had a better quality to them. I liked the fact you could go to the record store pick out your album sit at a table order up a beer and listen before you buy, and the albums were not shrink wrapped.Home Theater

Well, imo, its the fluid treatment AND the record cleaning machine - a must.
The fluid and RCM together results in an almost dead quiet LP experience - practically CD like but with that unique vinyl liquidity to the sound.
You gotta do both.
.....couldn't resist...family was gone this afternoon, so I put the BD disc back on for a reference level "+" playback....this concert BD ROCKS!
I'd swear that Spock and Iommi are matter/anti-matter twins - both seemingless emotionless - but I love the brief glimpse during "Vodoo" where you can see Iommi smile in pure....fun/enjoyment....priceless.

I must of misunderstood is the Blu Ray Black Sabbath during the Heaven and Hell Tour of years gone by, or is it the incarnation of when they could not call themselves Sabbath anymore and called themselves Heaven & Hell ,and did they include stuff off thier new album and the Dehumanizer album on this Blu Ray?Home Theater

Its all Sabbath to me!
The concert tracks are mostly from Heaven and Hell but without Bill Ward on drums (:frown:)
There are two tracks from Dehumanizer.
Its from the 2007 Tour recorded at Radio City Music Hall - previously available on DVD, now on Bluray with the lossless audio tracks.
If you don't have this on DVD - get the BluRay!!!
