i have 2 mm120s
what subs do you recommend?
i really dislike sony
im looking at rockford fosgate and us acoustics
but i want to know all of my choices
i want to put 400watts into each one
is that sufficient enough?
what should i be looking for?
2 channel, 4 channel, multi-channel
2 ohms, 4 ohms
what wattage should i be looking for at what ohms?
thats all for now...
ill come up with some other really dumb questions as i go

MM120's? You have subs apparently, I can't recommend better.
I'm not a hard core CS guy, but as far as AMPS go, I do like HiFonics, Soundstream, Alpine, and certain Kenwoods.....to name a few.
I would wire your sub(s) to 2 ohm, if possible, and go mono, all the way. BEEF man, BEEF.
Now, since I didn't make much sense, try the 'infield' forum.... **** over there named Kim is tha ****-nit, he will school you...

thanks man but whats the difference b/t 2 ohm and 4 ohm and is it actually necessary to 'break-in' your subs or is it a myth?

Esp w/ the MM's, allow 40 hrs of moderate play time to break in. If you don't, and you are pushing serious power to them, they can seize up.
As far as CS subs go, my ROT (rule of thumb), the lower the 'ohm' the better. Reach deep down, and take all your amp(s) can give. Dynamic power increases (usually) as ohm load decreases. (assuming your amp is stable at said ohm load)
My home theater sub is a modified 2nd order, slot loaded, bandpass DCM, with a blueprint dvc driver, running 195 watts rms into 1 ohm. 1 freakin ohm. Thunder brotha, thunder...
Seriously, the CS gurus can direct you better than me, but as far as I am concerned, and as bass depth and SPL are concerned.....
crank the ohm load down as low as it will go, and feed it CLEAN power....
