    Some funny exerpts:
    Oxygen Free: Bogus!

Full disclosure: the speaker cable I use happens to be billed as 99.998-percent oxygen free, but I didn?t choose it for that characteristic.
    Directional Cables: Bogus!

Full disclosure: Some of the cables I use in my home theater have these arrows printed on them; but here again, I didn?t choose them for that characteristic.

I love how he claims its bogus, yet his gear proves otherwise lol....

No, cables make no difference at all.... just dont look at my gear to see my Audioquest direction cables that are Oxogen free and cryogenically frozen.....

I bought them because...ummm...ummm....ummm the Magnolia guy told me to ...... lol

His gear doesnt prove anything, it's just what he happened to have. Most of my wire is 100% oxygen free...it doesn't mean I think its better because of it.

While true if this is the case and your going to write an article saying its not the case, why not switch all your cables over to the cheap stuff for 3 months and see if you notice a difference. You notice he said nowhere in there that he actually did some listening tests. He simply quotes theory.

Theory and real life experience dont always match up.

And with that I am out of this thread as I sense trouble abrewin'

Cables may be marked directional for 2 reasons:
    1. The direction in which the copper was "drawn"
    2. The shield ground is sometimes not connected on both ends of the cable; directionality becomes important so hum isn't passed along to the next component.

Higher purity copper has less grain per foot; the belief being that less grain "barriers" of purer copper improves fidelity.

He's arguing the wrong points, due to lack of education.

Much of this is theory of course, but I would imagine a purer copper is certainly not going to make things worse. The Audioquest website has very good articles on the different purity levels of copper, how they are classified, and the theoretical advantages to purer copper.

This just proves with the advent of the internet any fool can have his own blog and write whatever he/she feels like. It's up to the reader to decide if it has merit for their own personal situation.

Full disclosure: This guy is a moron and anyone who believes him is a moron too!

Everyone knows the direction the copper or silver was when it was formed is how it should be drawn for best sound quality.

You should also listen in the same direction for best results.
