Pro-ject Phono Box II opinions

Looking for any input or opinions on a Pro-ject Phono Box II pre-amp. I can get one used in good shape with box manual and allfor $225. Looks like decent gain for a low output MC. Please let me know your experience and opinion. Thanks.

No experience with the ss phono box, however I have used a Pro-ject Tube Box II phono pre and really liked it. I didn't even swap out the stock tubes. I moved up to the Tube Box II SE with Sovtek 12ax7 LPS tubes and it's a great combination and very nice synergy with the rest of my system.DKG999
