Greetings all,
My father is looking for a new/cheap pair of bookshelf speakers. Since CC is starting to blow out speakers I decided to stop by my local store today and see what they had. They have not lowered the 28's or 38's at all yet. I asked if they were going to be blowing them out any time soon and the guy told me they were expecting 40 pairs in this week so he doesnt think so.

Now for what Im looking to do...

If anyone sees NIB 28's or 38's deeply discounted in their local CC store please let me know so I can have them price match. I am really hoping to get a decent pair of speakers for my dad and teach/show him what good speakers can do.

Thanks

I tell you this now, check websites of stores....like CC - they have speakers marked lower on their websites and higher in the store. Price match their own self with their own sales. Idiots.....lol
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I am wanting to try and keep it under $100 per, that is what I consider getting a deal on them.

If your father would consider something outside of Polk, he should look at the Acoustic Energy Closeouts on ebay.

    AE 2

Essentially, the floorstanding version of the highly recommended AE 1. $249 BIN, Bidding starting at $199/pair.

Also, a real STEAL right now are the Canton Nestor Bookshelfs.

    Canton 303 $169/pair free ship

    Canton 403 $229/pair free ship

You can also find the PSB Image series 1b and 2b for $199/pair and $249/pair respectively online (dmc-electronics.com for example)

    Cheers,

If floorstanding is an option, you can't beat some 600i's for 2 bills.
