Subwoofer Cable

Hi,

I am new still and I have trying searching on multiple site but I feel like I need some reassurance from the people that know best here :)

I have a pioneer vsx-520-k and I am buying a PSW111 hopefully today and I was wondering if I can use any old regular rca cable. If I can, does it matter which color I use to connect it such as red, white, or do I have to use the yellow cable. I want to hook it up with LFE
I am looking at a cable from Monoprice but I want to hook up the sub tonight if I do get it since I have some rca cables lying around. I want to watch Saving Private Ryan in full 5.1 blu-ray glory :)

    Hello!

It won't matter which color you use at all. I've got a couple of monoprice 'sub' cables, and they do work great. For the price you may want to order a long one if you can accomodate your sub near you, to see if you like that placement better. Placement with subs can make a break them sometimes, so play around with it. Good luck!
