Hi everyone,

I have finally decided to take my dream ride across the USA next June on my VFR. Just wondering what would be your favorite roads to travel in your or surrounding states on a motorcycle. The smoother and more curving the better!! It will certainly be therapy for what I have had and continue to endure in my life. Some may be familiar.

    Greg:

Sounds like something I could use right now. Would love to cruise my Mustang across the USA and not worry about anything.

So, what route you planning on taking? Go more south across the us? Go a more central route? A more northern route? Going coast to coast?

I bet right across dead center would be ideal. Get out in the open plains and let it rip wipe open!

Where are you going through? If you are passing through anywhere around the NC state, or states surrounding, I will definetely ask my Dad....let me know

I don't live in CA anymore, but make sure you hit the Pacific Coast highway near Monterey and Salinas. That area is like heaven on earth for me. It's worth it.

I'll be starting in eastern Pennsylvania and finishing in Santa Cruz, California. And then back after a couple day's visit. I'll wait to get some feedback from a couple sources before I map out a route. I probably will be taking a straighter line out and then take my time on the rebound..bouncing north to south on my way back east.

Demiurge, I agree the PCH is a must and Vx I think I will want to travel through the NC, Tennessee, Virginia area on the way back.
John, I'm looking forward to some stretches where I can just let 'er rip. The VFR doesn't even break a sweat at 100..it is just starting to settle in happily at that point.

Greg, if you find yourself coming through north Texas, you've got a hot and a cot waiting at the Casa De Gates.

    Cheers,

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
