"bi-amp" AVR-3805

I recently purchased an AVR-3805 from a member here and have been really happy with it. In researching it I found a review on Audioholics that talked about bi-amping with this receiver using the multi-zone speaker outs. I know this isn't true bi-amping and in general it is probably not needed.

Just for fun though I tried this today and it gave me the ability to adjust the volume levels of the lows against the highs which, to me, seemed to add a little depth to the overall sound of my Monitor 70s. The only issue I had is that a slight hiss, or noise, was introduced to the sound. I can only imagine that this is due to the signal being reprocessed by the receiver, but I could be wrong. Is there any way that I could remove the hiss without purchasing a dedicated 2-channel amplifier? I'm doubting that there is because of the reprocessing issue, but if I could get rid of it I would be happy.

In case it makes a difference, I used a monoprice 1.5ft RCA audio cable to connect the front pre-amps back to the receiver and the speakers were connected with monoprice 14AWG in-wall wire (not used in-wall though, it was what they had available in the 25ft 14AWG roll at the time) with a set of banana plugs.
