Kudo's to my (great) nephew

Due to my family dynamics, age wise my great nephew feels like my nephew, but on to the story.
My nephew just graduated from the University of Arizona Magna **** Laude in Fine Arts/television and film production. He's also been writing a blog about the process of his final film project.
On his graduating project he managed to get a grant to get a Hollywood conductor/soundtrack producer to work on his final film project. The guy came to Tucson and gave a lecture to his class and then wrote the score for his final film, which played locally in a theater.
Anyway......
My nephew got a call out of the blue last week from a production assistant in Jerry Bruckheimer's production company. She said (and I paraphrase),We've been paying attention to your blog, we're very interested in your work and what you're doing, and we'd like to see a final copy of your project.
I don't know if it'll lead to anything, but how cool is that??!!!! Jerry Bruckheimer's production company out of the blue taking notice of you??!!!

congrats to your nephew... getting noticed on the internet web blog is not really that tough these days.. but on the other hand.. production companies don't have a lot of extra cash to throw around anymore like they used to.
So having them interested in your nephew is good thing and be sure he follows up with them on a timely manner or they will move along to the next person in line.
This could be a wonderful opportunity for him.. I wish him the best of luck. Film really is the way to go.. Television has been hit much harder in the last few years than film production has.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
