:frown: Derek Boogaard passed away. He was 28

R.I.P. buddy.

I'm not much of a hockey fan, but the few games I watched he was always entertaining to say the least, he'll be missed, gone too soon :frown:

If this is in fact, concussion related, the NHL has a huge problem in it's hands. It's incredibly sad that he has passed, but if it had to be I can only hope the league finally starts getting serious about head injuries and protecting the players.

    RIP boogeyman...

I totally agree with you Ace

Concussions are very serious, you can feel fine and then hours or days later it gets real bad fast.

If it was a concussion from fighting that's one thing since he was an enforcer. Sad nonetheless. The league really needs to get more serious about penalizing players that check defenseless players from behind head first into the boards. There have been games I've watched this year where the refs didn't call anything and no fines or suspensions handed out after the hits were reviewed. It's just good that this issue is being looked at so that it can be dealt with.
