Getting ready to buy pair of Rti A3's. Pair is between $320 and $350 from dealers/resellers and of course MSRP of $399 direct from Polk. Seems like I heard something of a benefit(s) from buying direct that might be worth the additional $$.

Only from Polks ebay site. The ebay site sells refurbed speakers (normally you cant tell they aren't new) and they come with a warranty and are normally quite a bit off.

Otherwise I dont think its worth it IMHO

Stick to the authorized polk site and you are going to get a great product with great service. I got my LsiC direct and could not be happier.

Do your homework and check pricing at dealers and Polk ebay store as IMO, sometimes you get better deals from the dealers. Keep in mind Polk uses MSRPs pricing (inflated pricing) as price point and you often get better prices from dealers. So depending on the deals you get, Polk ebay does not always provide best pricing.

I got my RTi A3's from Polk's eBay store and couldn't be happier. The speakers look brand new. They do charge state sales tax, which for me was about 4%, but it was still a significant savings over any other retailer.

Go refurbed from official ebay site. I have a full 5.1 set up from there and they look pretty much like they were brand spanking new. No regrets.
