No one I know. Looks like there were two versions of them as well.

I use the Avm20 v2, extremely flexable and has just about every connection known man except hdmi and usb, if you plan on using it as legacy preamp in a movie and music setup its hard to beat at current prices. I got mine paired with an Oppo 95 and A'm in heaven:biggrin:

I believe to use it solely for a pre-amp is a waste of resources but as a pre-amp/processor it's top notch. The upgraded firmware is downloadable. Anthem is one of my favorite brands.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

No, I have not used it with SDA or any Polk for that matter.

That's an ok price, not great.

I have an AVM-30, as a 2ch pre the Anthem's are Detail and fast.
It's a much better Processor that Pre-amp, although the pre-amp is
    Decent.

Why not go for the anthem tlp 1 as a pre ? It shares the same tech and can be had for $250-300

The anthem 20 though is a flexible unit and later on you could upgrade it to an anthem avm 50 for bluray

Well I hope you never paid $500 for it because a seller on audiogon is letting one of these go for less than $425

Well, what you end up paying for audio gear is relative to where you live. I live in Canada and typically we pay a little more.

That's absolutely true. As long as your happy, it doesn't matter what you paid. Congrats.

I am very happy and looking forward to setting this pre up. I won $500.00 on Nevada tickets this morning, so it seems a cheap purchase anyway......lol
