Hi guys,
I'm just curious, have any you guys heard the combined Bose T.V. w/ surround built in.I saw a comercial the other night and this was the first of every hearing of any product like this.I know most your opinion of latter day Bose stuff so I was just wondering. In the past I was an installer for a sercurity co. that also became a Bose distrubter. I will say at first I was impressed at the sound but always annoyed that you had no control over any settings at all and what there levels were that's it.I did install Lifestyle
30s and 50s and also amps that controled 3 rooms at a time that pretty much looked like car amps and you put them on a board in the basement and ran the volume controls inputs and speakers to the amp and had their cd player/tuner with a remote upstairs for you to use .Again no tone controls at all what they make is what you heard. Oh on the smaller Lifestyle systems there was a roller switch for the sub only.

My guess is the mids are flat, the bass is weak and one noted with no real musicality, and the highs will be smeared cause they are aimed at the wall instead of the listener.

But thousands will by them cause there marketing is awesome.

Have a buddy with one of the lifestyle systems. He is looking to upgrade after hearing my system that cost less than his.

Be Bose or any other brand, I honestly wonder about the SQ of a full HT cramed into a TV panel. At the price point, you would more likely be better of with a surrond bar of the sort. Remember that combo component can be a pain as if one section needs repair, you loose everything (TV and audio system)!:frown:
