Last week oneday I had all the tubes on and later in the day went to play an album.
Notice my phono stage was not on thinking maybe someone turned it off but no the power switch was in the on position.
put my spare 6EY7 and 6X4 tubes in still no power. Checked fuse and it was blown.
Replaced fuse and powered on no problem. Put the original TS 6EY7 back in no problems.
Put the original Brimar 6x4 and WOW, a nice lightening show before fuse blew again.
Been wanting to try a Tung Sol (TS) 6x4 anyway.
Received the NOS NIB TS 6X4 1957.
With about 12 hours on it all I can say is WOW !.
I had never noticed a triangle sound in a couple of albums until I put this tube in.
Goes to show everything matters.
