Hey guys new here and new to Polk. I currently have the Onkyo HT-R670 receiver, 130 watts/channel @ 6 ohms, the one that came with the HTIB 6200. I want to continue using this receiver but upgrade my speakers with Polks CS and TSI line of speakers. I have a huge open living room/dining room, and kitchen all pretty much together with just a knee wall seperating them with vaulted ceilings. I dont want to spend a fortune and have narrowed it down to the CS-10 or CS-20 for my center, the TSI 300 or 400 (I'd prefer the 300's here due to cost difference) for my fronts and either the PW-10 or the 110 for my sub. With my layout which setup would I most likely be happiest with? I listen to music, watch blu rays and just basic cable (sports, American Idol ect...). Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing your reponse.

The CS20 + TSi 400 or you can go the newegg way and CS2 + monitor 70`s or 60`s , for sub i would get something like this Epic

+1 Go for the CS2 and 60's or 70's. You're getting basically the same speakers and paying a whole lot less. Check the egg.

With the money you save by going with the monitors, you can get a really decent sub.

Gotta agree with the above posts, for starting out your move from a HTIB to a full setup start with the CS2 and 70's for your front three and fill out the rears/surrounds with Monitor 30/40's, then use the leftovers to buy a better sub. I went with a BIC V1220 and love it.

Keeping in mind that your music will use the Front L/R and the sub only and movies will use the center, front L/R, and sub heavily and fill in with the rear/surrounds.

    Welcome to Club Polk!!

+1, on the advice above. I run an M-70/CS2/M30 set up on an Onkyo a bit more powerful than yours and I have to say; Onkyo and Polk Monitors are a nice match!

For your sub I'd stay away from the PSW10. If you must go with a cheaper Polk sub consider the PSW125 (even better, if you have the cash, is the Epik Legend mentioned above). You're lucky that Onkyo HTIB receivers can be used with most speakers, because lots of HTIB receivers aren't often stand alone AVRs.

I'd go with at least a set of M-60s and a CS2, that front stage is the most important for HT. And the SUB, of course!

Mentioned in another thread, but the PSW505 is going for $229 at Newegg.
