Question for iPad 2 users

I just got the iPad 2 last week and enjoying it so far. Here is my question:
How can I transfer photos to the iPad without using the sync?
I absolutely hate the sync feature, always have. If I have some photos on one computer I can sync them to the iPad, but if I have other photos on another computer the sync will remove my existing photos on the iPad.
I just want to manually add photos, individual or folders.
Any better way to transfer photos besides the sync feature?
(I see some apps but looking for other ideas as well)
Thanks.

I never understood why Apple pushes the "so easy your Grandma can use it!" angle with their products, but insists on draconian drm and other proprietary crap that tends to make things more complicated than they need to be.
I think some companies used to make iphone/pod-USB adapters, but I seem to remember Apple suing them because of it at some point."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. Like you said there may be an app that allows you to sync wirelessly or something along those lines, but the iTunes sync is the way Apple wants you to do it.

The thing is, I can't manually drag photos in. It always tells me it cannot play on the iPad or something.
With music it is no problem; I can manually copy any song or folder full of songs no problem. I was hoping to do the same with photos. -
Found this on another forum, but I do not guarantee its accuracy:
"all you need to do is have the driver for your ipod (so you can enter the hardrive and things and veiwable ) then go to my computer open your ipod go to the address type /ipod_control after the alreasy address
go in there and unhide all files go to music and drag a song you'll have to rename it to a 4 ltters word"
Not sure if it's remotely close for the iPad either.Ludicrous gibs! -

Was that translated from another language or did someone actually type it out like that?
Anyways...if you know the device name, you can access it through the address bar in "My Computer"...assuming it allows access. Not too sure Apple's going to let that pass."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. If I connect to a PC it only sees the iPad as a digital camera. I was hoping it would see it as a hard drive so I could try that. There may be a way to do this, I'll have to keep poking around. -
I use a app called file browser from the iPad and it connects to my shared folders and samba server then I just copy them over. Pc to iPad = pain... iPad to pc is easy. File browser cost 2.99 but it basically gives your iPad all the storage at home you will ever need

Jailbreak your device, use SSH -
