I am pushing a pair of SDA-SRS 2.3's and looking to upgrade the my system for HT 5.1 setup. Since the 2.3's have good sounding bass I am not sure whether adding a sub would enhance the sys. I am also looking at adding the CSI40 Center Channel. I plan on trying my Allison CD-6 for the rear channel. Any sugg/rec?

Buy a sub! I just added a PSW505 to my 5.1 system including my SDA-SRS's and I'm very pleased. I don't plan to use it with two channel music sources. SDA's were not meant to reproduce "blow the windows out" sub-base that home theater effects have. I have a CS400i as my center and FX500i's for surrounds. They are not a perfect timbre match, but come close enough for HT. You may want to get some opinions on the timbre match from Polk or other members on the CS40i.

Where's Dr. Spec? He knows a lot about subs. I'm sure adding an SVS to your system will enhance the experience. They will dig deeper than your mains.
