I emailed Polk about replacement grilles for my Rt800is and Cs400i that I just bought used. Has anyone ever done this a what kind of price do you think it will be and I guess the most important thing...will they still carry these?

Thanks and I love the speakers. They sound great.

I strongly suggest that you call instead of emailing.

    Absolutely spot-on.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Well they responded. Thanks for the answers though guys. :) They want $24 for each grill. I really dont know if that is good or not considering I didnt spend that much on CL to get them. If I replaced all of the grills it would cost 120 without tax/shipping. I will give it some thought.

Any ideas on getting the smell of smoke out of a speaker or grill? :)

There have been past threads on the very topic...I'd fill a tub with warm water, sprinkle a little Arm & Hammer in there, and dip those pups. Rinse well, blot carefully with a towel, and let them air dry.

You could call up a local disaster recovery service like ServPro, ServiceMaster, etc and see how much they'd charge to do their de-smoking service on your speakers.
Whatever they use (Ozone, Magic De-smoking Stuff), it works. Don't know how much they'd charge, but if you take them into their shop, it shouldn't be too much, IMO.

Or ... the "take up smoking" would work, too.

Did you let them know you are a member of Club Polk? There is a CP discount when ordering.

Yep, they won't necessarily ask you, but if you tell them you are a CP member you should get a nice discount.

Thanks guys, I will definitely tell them about being a CP member. That might make a dent in the cost of these.
