Hey,

So I'm looking for a complete speaker setup with anything and everything that i might need.

I am going to be using it in a pretty small room for music, videos, and games. I love huge bass!

The speakers will be connected to a computer.

What kind of speakers will I need/want? Should I get a specific sound card for my computer? Do i need to get a separate amp/driver?

I will start with the most basic question. What is your budget?
    Front - RTiA5's
    Rear - RTiA3's
    Center - CSiA4
    Sub - PSW110

id say about $1500 or lower. Really, if you came up with something like:

    For **** amount you can get x, y, z
For YYY amount you can get A, B, C

It would be awesome if there were a few things like that.

    Welcome to Club Polk!

Well currently, on Polk's ebay site....see link in the Polk Menus on their homepage!

You can get a set of RTI-12s for 699 plus shipping
    a CSI-5 center for 249 plus shipping
and you could pick up some smaller RTI-4s elsewhere for about 149.
Then you could add something like an Epik Legend sub for 499 plus shipping and that would be around 1700-1800 total and a very nice system.

If that's too much just buy the 5 speakers and save up for the sub later.

    Good Luck!

That would be a pretty hot setup, but you'll also need an AVR to drive everything, if that is too much look into Polk's Monitor line, and TSI line for a even more budget friendly application. Most here will recomened a Pioneer or Onkyo AVR, both should have plenty of options to keep you happy for years to come (hopefully!). Here is a great option - http://unitedonlineshopping.com/pielvs7chrev5.html

    Welcome to CP!

P.S. The Epik Legend should be more then enough bass, since it looks like your looking for that.

He still has nothing to drive them with...

I would look at the monitor line for speakers and a pioneer or onkyo receiver.

If you can still get the psw505, that's a great bang for the buck sub. You can source all of the stuff from newegg, amazon, and Polk's eBay direct.

Should be able to keep it under or at $1,500 and have a great starting system.

I'm surprised you guys are suggesting huge towers and big subs like the psw505... wouldn't be my choice.

Given a small room, I'd go with quality SMALL speakers. Looks like a job for the RTIA like csia4 or 6 as the center with some RTIA3 as fronts and RTIA1s as surrounds and a small micro pro1000 or 2000 sub. No amp needed, any basic receiver will drive this setup fine. And all this will fit within his $1500 budget and NOT clutter his room. That's what I would do anyway...

Maybe you need to be more specific about what a "pretty small room means". If you like huge bass, your not going to get it from bookshelf speakers. Not sure what your running for a motherboard but most newer boards have good onboard sound that you can feed to an avr through optical out.

He did say 'Awesome Complete', what wouldn't be complete without clutter??
(I didn't add the amp, his budget wouldn't take that!)

    2 channel? (typical used prices)

    Paradigm Studio 20 v3 ($400)
    Cambridge DACMagic ($300)
    Parasound HCA series amp ($200-300)
    Preamp ($200)
    HSU Subwoofer ($200-300)

A setup like this would be very hard to beat within that budget. You can then expand it to accommodate movies, or get a decent receiver with preouts instead of the DAC and Preamp.
    Current System:
    Paradigm Signature S2 v2
    Conrad Johnson MF2500
    Wyred4Sound DAC2
    Audioquest Black Mamba II

    For Sale:
    3x Wilson Cub's
    Conrad Johnson MF2500

What major city do you live near/in? Craigslist may be an option for some components for you.
