I have both a PF membership since August 2010 & I've been seeing a trainer for 2 1/2 years. Charles cracks up at those commercials & says they are hysterically funny. He also says he couldn't/wouldn't use PF simply because they don't have high enough weights to be of use to him.

So for the extremely serious bodybuilder, PF wouldn't do them any good anyway.

They are marketed to just regular people who are just starting out & trying to get into shape. The one by me, has a very eclectic mix of people who's ages run from 20's-senior citizens.

Eh, people just like to be up in arms about something.

Have a channel that is WET and see what happens!!! I never understood where BET is not some sort of racial push but if it was WET all hell would break loose. Put out a support you white collage fund and you would have the same uproar everybody there would be considered a rasist!!!

I always think this way about things.
There was a local golf club that got complaints because there
wasn't many Black members. The cost to join was about $100k
plus over $10k a year in fees.
I'm sure you don't see any average Joes in there, either!
Why **** about something that you aren't really ever going to
to be involved with. I'm sure some Dallas Cowboy with a big
paying contract would be welcomed with open arms.
Me, on the other hand, would get the curbside toss.

.... the huge guys at the gym are usually the nicest people, they love helping and they act as inspiration for a lot of other folks. I see them as a benefit... sure, they are always there, but they know more about fitness than the trainers at the gym.

Sure, the goal of a gym is to get a bunch of people to buy memberships and not come... that's how they make their money. But, they provide a service, and I think having knowledgeable people around helps... they usually aren't 'meatheads' either

speaking of sports... where are all the white guys? I think we should call racism! We need more white players.... make it mandatory like they do in college (not college sports, the school)...

It's rampant here in Texas (just North of Mexico if you didn't know). It's reverse discrimination here, we've got a whole chain of 'La Fitness', apparently just for people of Spanish and Mexican descent. I'm waiting for 'La McDonalds' and 'La WalMart' to open up.

You won't find me in a gym anyway, I've got a bicycle, and decent neighborhood to walk around, I know how to do pushups etc.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I don't think that's really the deal with LA Fitness. I'm a member there. The one by me in Richardson is usually mostly Asians. The one by work is usually mostly Caucasians. The trainers at both are mostly Caucasian men.

Wow, really? It's called a joke. "La" being an article in Spanish, vs LA being a place?
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Except there's no chain called "La Fitness". Or perhaps the joke was just to obscure for me and I read it as LA, not La. Which, you know, is because the chain is named LA Fitness.

That's the joke. It's called a play on words. Holy crap this is not that difficult.
