$12,900 on Ebay. Fully restored, but ..... $12,900 on Ebay.
Which is why I said, "Something pretty to look at".
Lot of good looking vintage gear, but Sansui's look pegs my Slobber meter high.
Sansui BA-5000, 170 lbs of Class A, Torroidal, Dual 22,000 ufd capped, vintage Sansui amp. 170 watts/channel, conservatively measured.

Sansui CA-3000, vintage Sansui pre-amp.

Add the Sansui TU-9900 from this Ebay seller

and you have yourself a nice little rig.

Stack these, and you wouldn't have a rack ...... you'd have an altar.
In the mean time, enjoy the pretty !

Mr. BBL,
Here, I found a deal for you. Be prepared to fly to Florida and pickup in person or ships via Freight or Polkie Express.
UPS or FedEx will simply destroy it.
Not the best looking BA-5000 but price is very reasonable.
BA-5000 is a holy grail of Vintage Sansui. It's not Class A amp though.

170 watts at Class A, eh? I did not know that.

I'll agree with you guys on the Sansui vintage drool. Looking for a 9090 but any decent one people want a grand for 'em. Same with vintage Marantz, can't find a 2385 for under 600 beans anywhere.HT SYSTEM-

Thought I'd share some more coolest Sui San to share.
C-2302 Preamp. The most expensive SanSui Preamp ever built.
Linky ---> http://www.audio-database.com/SANSUI/amp/c-2302vintage-e.html
And the matching B-2302 Power Amp.

Thanks for that link, you're right ! "Darlington pairs ..... push/pull ...".
Figured they might have water-cooled the outputs
Still a heck of a beast ..... get something like this, and sit back and .... aahhh. Might even turn it on, too !
Never had heard of that SANSUI C-2302 pre-amp. "1.280,000 yen" ? Not really familiar with the yen, so found an on-line converter and .......$15670.90 !!!
I'm sure conversion rates were different back in 1992, but not that much different ! Sansui pulled out all the stops on that one. Still like the looks of the BA, CA, AU, and TU earlier series the best.
It might be worth noting that BA, CA, AU, and TU series make excellent gifts, worthy of any occasion.
Well ....... they would ....... :redface:Sal Palooza
