CHEAP HDMI cable

I finally stepped up to an HD DVR with DirecTv. I am running componet cables right now to the TV. Is it better to run HDMI? If so I need to either buy a cable about 8' or 10' long. Or move my DVR closer to the TV and use that little 2' cable that came with the DVR. I found a cable today but damn, $85?? :eek:

    If you want cheap, go with Monoprice. They will work fine and have all different lengths for only a few dollars each.

    Not sure if your aware of this .......but Im just about sure that if you run component cables you WILL NOT be able to rent movies with DirecTv......so you need an HDMI cable.

    You need a in-wall HDMI cable from Monoprice.....their shielded real well....and are dirt cheap.

    Thanks Freddy. Think I will see about getting a longer cable locally. I really hate to move the DVR out of the rack closer to the TV. Guess I will have to bite the bullet and buy a 10' cable.

    I also have a few in a bag. Before you buy one, let me check what length ones I have tonight. Comcast gives me one every time I swap out HD boxes, which is often unfortunately, so I have a few spares.
