Here is the setup I am currently planning on installing in my car:

Head Unit: JVC KD-R900

AMP: Kenwood Excelon XR-5S

Front: Polk Audio MM6501

Rear: Polk Audio MM651

Subwoofer: Single Polk Audio MM1040 in .67 cubic inch sealed box.

4 Gauge Monster Amp wiring kit and 1.0 Farad capacitor will be installed also.

Am I missing anything? I would just like some opinions on this setup or if I need to add something or take something away. Thanks for the input.

What amplifiers are you hooking up? What kind of vehicle? You might be better off biamping your fronts if your rears aren't necessary for better overall SQ.

The 4 gauge will work fine for that power draw, you might want to think about possibly running the mm5251 instead of the mm6501 to better match the rms of your amp.

80 watts is plenty for the 6501. I would get the 6501 over the 5251 as the 6.5" would give you better mid bass.

I would also drop the rears and the cap and add the additional funds from there to get a hu that gives you more tuning options. Time alignment and maybe a 5 band eq. Bi-amping is a good idea.

What others said on 6.5 over 5.25 but i'm not sure i agree with "no rears" in case of Santa Fe since it's not a small sedan... it's actually a mid-size suv so rear fill might not be such a bad idea here. U migh wanna not hook up those rear spekers' tweeters but other then that IMO u're good for a basic set-up.

Better headunit (one with more tunning options) is always a good idea doesn't matter what set-up u got but it really comes down to how much u're willing to spend and how far you wanna take this car audio thing to.
