Looking for a dual band wireless router. What are the best ones currently available? I don't need more than 4 ports as I currently only have one wired device. Wireless devices include a Netgear wireless bridge for my DTV receiver, a BDP and a desktop PC that are capable of 802.11n 5Ghz. I use on-demand on the DTV receiver and Net-Flix on the BDP, on the desktop my wife does zoo world, farmville, etc. We have one 802.11g desktop in a guest room and will also require it for guest laptops.

Glad we could help.
Actually...I'm sad cause I was gonna watch this thread. I'm wondering if something like this (dual-band) is needed if you have 1-2 laptops going and a future Squeezebox also in the mix at the same time? I know nothing about these dam things. I have a Netgear "G" router now, but I hear they only last a couple years cause they burn out? Planning ahead........ ><////(*> -
I bought the D-Link DIR-825 on sale from Newegg.
But then, too, I also wired up the house entirely on CAT6 (long run) and CAT6a.
Blazing fast.
I like the DIR-825 and have no problems with it.
Just problems with the user understanding it's depth of capabilities.
To be honest though, the 2.5 band is quick enough for streaming.
Haven't really used the 5 band.
I feel more comforted in knowing it is more secure.Onkyo TX-NR636

I am running the Linksys E4200 and it is blazing fast. However, it likes to drop AirPlay streams from my phone and iPad which is annoying and I did not encounter with my Airport Extreme.// Panasonic AE8000 // Pioneer SC-57 // Polk Audio RTi A9 // Polk Audio CSiA6 //
