Active or Passive?

To all the owners of the Adcom GFP 750. Which settings do you prefer, and why? thanks. I lean towards the Passive mode,but like the Active mode,when I want to push my Kappas.Let me digress, for a second.My carver Mono blocks are too much for the kappas.Now,back to the Adcom.I'm having so much fun with this pre-amp,nice and clean sounding.No harsh,or noticeable metallic sound.
