Been looking at TSI and discontinued monitors.

Leaning toward the TSI line.

It would be for all uses, movies and music.

Not knowing these models, need your opinion, please.

Greetings and Welcome to Club Polk.

    What is your budget?

You may want to consider the RTiA line of speakers - and look for a good deal from Polk's official ebay site.

Are you looking at Towers, bookshelves, a full 5.1 or 7.1 system?

How small is "small" for you? Are you thinking bookshelves like Monitor 30 or TSi100?

    Welcome to Club Polk!

Get yourself a pair of Rti-4s on the cheap--better imaging and detail than Monitor or TSI bookshelves. Cheaper than Rti-A1s and still pretty good. Can always be moved to the rear when you upgrade to an all RTI or RTI-A series!

Surprisingly good with both music and movies with a sub!

Take a listen...do a search. You can get a pair (new) for 150 or less...shipped!

Got the RTI-4's for 150 shipped to my door.

    YEAH!!!!!!

Will the Onkyo 230 be OK for powering these and 3 other speakers.
Don't want to burn them up from using low current, low power receivers
that don't deliver stated power on paper. You know how they inflate power
    numbers.

    Thanks for your help

Can you give the full model number for the avr? It will make it easier to offer suggestions. I am not familiar with an onkyo 230...
