I'm completely new to HT and just purchased the yamaha rx-v567bl receiver and polk audio monitor 70s with cs2. I hope I'll be glad w/ my purchase after a day of research. Now my questions is what's next?

1. fry's staff recommended the monster thx, is that good?
2. any sub for these? anything else?

Really appreciate any thoughts on this,

Conan

    1. NO. Monster is a bad word around here. Overpriced and low quality, IMO.

    2. I've had a PSW10 sub and didn't like it. Too much port noise. I upgraded to a BIC F12 and I love it. Can be had for just under 200 if you look. Try newegg.com or Amazon.

    Welcome to CP.
Looks like you have a good start so far. I would try and find some monitor 30's or 40's for some rears, and a decent sud and you should have yourself a decent 5.1 setup. Monster is somewhat overpriced, you can find comparable or even better products for the less money. Good luck.
