So i just picked up a set of new rtia3's. however i just saw a pair of used Klipsch rf-3's on craigslist for 200 dollars. Which are the better bet for a bedroom set up? I also have a csia4 to go with my rtia3s.

Keep your front 3 speakers matched, so if you're thinking about using the Klipsch with the Polk center i'd definitely reconsider. If you're wanting to sell yours and buy a Klipsch center to match, it really just comes down to preference and what you use them for.

Not really an apples to apples comparison here.

RTiA3s are bookshelves and the RF3s are floor standing towers.

Is your bedroom setup for a full 5.1 HT system? And how big?

I guess it all depends if you have the room for floor standers, and are willing to sell your Polks then get a matching center for the RF-3s - as you should match the center and fronts.

For a smallish Bedroom setup I would think that the RTiA3s and CSiA4 would do quite nicely. My RTiA3s did an admirable job of filling my family room with sound for HT.

My bedroom is quite large, full wood floors and decently high ceilings probably 12-13 feet. My setup is only the speakers I have plus a mirage subwoofer. Now my polks are new, the RF-3's are 10 years old, so that is something I have to consider as well. But if you guys were me what would you do?

my bro in law has those klipschs. They are classic klipsch, aggressive ballsy rocking in your face with pretty over the top treble. Very forward sounding with pretty incredible bass (he runs his without a sub and the speakers are pushed up against the wall which ruins a lot of other things but increases the bass). The polks are also a little on the bright side, but on the whole will have a warmer much more balanced sound, and of course nowhere near the bass since they are bookshelfs. If you have a good sub (and mirage subs tend to be good) I would personally stick with the polks. But if you like agressive sounding rock and roll, then the klipsch just might be the ticket.
    Good luck!

Yeah, my mirage sub is old, but kicks without any interference and sounds great. I also might add that all of my speakers have omni mount stands.

So when you say your setup is only the speakers, do you mean you are still shopping for a receiver and a bluray player?

Are you trying to set up a complete surround sound system with rear speakers in your bedroom in addition to the RTiA3s, CSiA4 and your current sub?

And you already have omni mount stands?

I'm thinking you should stick with the RTiA3s and the CSiA4 and see how it sounds....really - the RTiA3s are a sweet bookshelf for HT and do darn good at music with the right setup.
