Some LSi 15 & amp questions.....

So I am now the proud owner of a set of LSi 15;s (will be updating my system showcase with pics later this week). I acquired them from another forum member on Monday. I have already replaced the stock 8's with the Polk db840 subs. I am not going to mod the crossovers for a bit (year or more) since that costs a bit of coin and requires a bit more skills than I currently have. I am driving them with a Carver 705x amp (125x5 @ 8 ohm) currently as well as my CSi5 and Infinity Primus 162's. The floor is carpet (but the cheap apartment kind) over a cement slab.
I do not ever really get to crank it since I have neighbor's on both sides, but will be listening to music via the Direct or Stereo Mode on my Integra. I already notice a difference in bass over my Monitor 40's (obviously :smile). Also I have SignalCable Analog Two's from the Integra to Carver (not yet broken in) and also am running the LSi 15's bi-wired with Audioquest FLX 14/4 CL2 wire.
Here are my questions:
1. Should I just run the Front 3 off the amp so I can ensure the 15's are getting enough power, or can I continue to run all 5 speakers from the Carver? It?s not too much of a pain to run the Primus 162's off my Integra, and I know it has more than enough power for them. I could even run my CSi5 off of it, but would prefer to keep all front 3 connected to the same power source.
2. Should I be using the spikes or not? I am short 2 spikes but those might show up later on.
3. If I need spikes should I be looking at different ones than the stock, or are they good enough?
4. Should I get a different amp to run the LSi's off of and if so should I get a 2 channel and leave the Carver to run the rest of my eventual 7.1 setup?
5. Any other LSi related stuff I should be aware off??
And before you say it, yes I am aware the CSi5 is not a exact timbre match for the LSi 15's but I am going to try it out and see before I look into the LSiC.

You can run of that Carver amp for now. But the upgrade is highly highly recommended.
1. The Current Carver amp is OK for all 5 speakers including LSi15 but the amp upgrade in the future would be very beneficial to your LSi15.
2. Yes, should use the spikes.
3. Factory ones are OK and does the job fine. But if you want, you can use the more exotic ones.
4. Yes on getting a different amp to run LSi15s.
5. Nothing else other than good amps. Set them up correctly. Don't use too much toeing in. Enjoy your speakers.
I've tried CSi5 with LSi25s before and you don't hear any huge difference between CSi5 and LSiC. But LSiC has better vocals (human voices).Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:
