PS Audio

I moved into a new house and the main rig is finally set-up and dialed in pretty well. A few tube changes have made the system extremely listenable until I start getting curtains and other furnishings in their final spots, etc.

I plan on doing some room treatments at some point in the future, but right now I can easily live with the sound I'm getting.

The rig really has no power or noise issues but I was looking at getting the PS Audio Power Port receptical for the main wall plug for the rig. My amp would be plugged into one outlet and the APC H15 into the other outlet.

Those that have used these, is this worth the cost? I don't need a power condtioner like the Soloist.

Just wondering if the investment is worthwhile since I really don't have any power issues.

    I use them for peace of mind as they are a major improvement over the $2 ones that are in your typical house.

    That's basically the conclusion I've drawn, just wondered if anyone really experienced a difference. I've located a NIB unit for less than retail and, if for no other reason than peace of mind, I will get one.

    I picked up a MIT Z in-wall duplex outlet - been running my sub off of it for several months. Can't say I notice a difference - biggest change was when I went with a PS Audio Power Plus PC to the sub. The outlet is....POM.

    H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music.

    I was debating to get the Power Port or the Porter Port and decided on the Porter port. It was a Huge upgrade from the stock receptacle. I got at least a 25% increase in performance from my rig ie. more clarity, extension, separation, etc.

    I'm sure either one will do the trick.

    Dunno, haven't installed mine yet. I will say this, the weight and build quality are not the same as the HD type outlets. I'm waiting to get the dedicated lines put in, so I may not be much more help than this until that is completed.
    ~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
