A lot of speakers are 2-way speakers, that is, they have one tweeter and one mid-range driver. Yet many Polk speakers have two or more mid-range drivers in them. What is the advantage of multiple mid-range drivers in a speaker system?

Many polk speakers with two mid-range drivers have a cascade tapered array cross-over.

Multiple drivers increases sensitivity and power handling.

Do multiple mid range drivers effect the speaker's imaging, that is, do they sharpen the sound stage image or blur it compared to single mid range drivers?

It depends on the placement of the drivers and the crossover topology.

Can you tell me what all the weird symbols are in your link? The ones that look as if they may substitute for letters.
